The Joy of Sets
The Joy of Sets is a workshop offering students a chance to explore a rapid-prototyping approach to realising ideas hands-on and at full scale.
Students are challenged to respond to simple contexts and narrative starting points, before moving quickly into creating immersive 1:1 scale environments. The workshop has been successfully implemented as part of existing course projects or as a standalone workshop that explores the cinematic staging of fictional narratives.
The Joy of Sets champions making as not only a production process but a creative one, where thinking-through-making becomes a way of exploring scenarios and experimenting with ideas in dynamic and playful working atmospheres.
